Fix One: Find yourself a pencil with an eraser at the end. Ultimately you could also try a new memory card. Do this for about 30 seconds or more until you get all the gold contacts. Here's the solution that finally worked for me.

The problem is that if you ever use the memory stick on other camera besides the Sony DSC-F707 or format the memory stick on a computer instead of using the camera's It is possible that the problem is in the camera, that the cable connector of the card reader is not making proper connection.
