Reinsert The Memory Card Sony Cybershot

I cannot find a regular old memory stick to test this theory so who knows. My inmediatly got my memory stick bak operational and normal, all the pictures were intact, was no need to format anything, nothing lost. How can I fix that problem???? very strange - it seems the camera will work fine with the 512 card but not the 2gb - this works fine on the pc.
