It happened when I tried to read the memory stick in a SONY memory stick duo adapter in my PC. Can no longer purchase "memory sticks>" Purchased Memory Stick Pro duo with adapter. When you reset your camera, make sure you are doing it connected to a power supply or to new fully charged batteries. I had tried everything, but this recovery program worked like a charm!

i don't want to loose what was on the memory stick last night -- turned on today with the error message -- please help. SOLUTION: for all these things is to reformat the chip. I don't know if I'm able to email a copy of the software but I can certainly try. No way, I didn't wanted to loose my pictures.

While the cameras are excellent, I agree that the Sony service is notoriously poor (lacking knowledge and expensive), so please consider Nikon or Canon too when buying a new camera. I will try to fix that with the hardware consultant now. news The two folders were named DCIM and 100MSDCF and were in folders F:\ and F:\DCIM respectively.

I've tried monkeying around with formatting @ different sizes, and still get the c:13:01 error. I changed to the original sony 16mb stick it came with and am getting the same error reading. If you have pics on it you dont want to lose before you reformat, check all the comments here.. Is there anything I can deo about this problem?
