Use the info LITHIUM battery. It would let me eject the tape but would never take the tape back in properly. When you smack, turn the camcorder upside down to see if something falls off from it. I didn't read about banging bottom until after taking apart. I've had this infrequent code with my Sony GV-D1000 walkman video deck ever since I bought it back in January 2003. There's another method on the same forum where a fella uses shrink tube numerous times to create a new secure lock pin. C 31 30 FG fault when starting capstan.
