I went through the steps and then when I switched off and on again the problems seem to have vanished. Go to Programs and Features in Control panel > click Turn Windows features on or off 2. click + sign of Print services 3. I've followed all of the things I'm supposed to do and still nothing.
I'm still getting the same thing: Spooler Subsystem App Stopped Working. My printer spooler constantly shut down on my 32bit host computer, but deleting the registries for it worked like a charm. Please note that legal spoolsv.exe should reside in Windows\System32 folder and should not appear in startup list.
