My problem is not solved. Quit Computer Management. 2. But the printer never cleared out the previous print job and I would end up printing a bunch of stuff that already printed before getting the next requested print job. That why the printer spooler service failed to start. I can't print anything!!!There has to be a fix...the machine is only 2 months old....which I bought because my old mother board was having issues...I thought things would be better with Spooler Subsystem App Stopped Working Xp and to my amusement, I found my USB-connected printer to be listed at LPT1.   I changed the assignment from LPT1 to USB, saved, and voila!  Printing has been restored from Spooler Subsystem App Virus The spooler is working properly and running and the printer driver is up to date.

Expand the Version-x subkey or subkeys, and then delete the printer driver entries. Whenever a computer system is upgraded from one OS to another, older driver files for devices may still be active in the system and cause problems.
